Privacy
What we do with your information.
This notice covers this website. Assessment data is governed by the agreement with the organisation that ran the assessment.
This website
These pages set no analytics or advertising cookies, and nothing is stored in your browser beyond what is needed to display the page.
The one exception is the contact form. When you submit it, Google reCAPTCHA runs to check the form is being filled in by a person rather than a script. That happens only on submission, not when you open the page, and it is subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms. We use it because the form sends email, and an unprotected form that sends email gets abused.
The enquiry form
Your name, email address, organisation, and message are sent to us by email so we can reply. That information is not written to a database, not added to a mailing list, and not passed to anyone else.
Assessment data
Responses to a Matchie assessment belong to the organisation that commissioned it. That organisation is the responsible party for the personal information involved; Matchie processes it on their behalf under the terms of their agreement. If you completed an assessment and want to know what is held about you, contact the organisation that invited you.
What the platform stores
If an organisation invites you to complete an assessment, this is what is held about you.
- Your account. Your name, email address, a phone number and profile picture if you supply them, the organisation you belong to and your role in it. Signing in uses a link emailed to you, so no password is stored.
- Your responses. Every answer you give, kept item by item rather than only as a total, along with which assessment it belongs to, how far through it you are, and when it was sent to you, started and finished.
- Your results. The construct and sub-construct scores worked out from those answers, the response-validity result, and the PDF and Excel reports generated for the organisation.
- Email records. Which emails we sent you and when, and whether each one was delivered, bounced or opened. This exists so an organisation can see that an invitation never arrived instead of assuming you ignored it.
We also hold records about the organisation itself: its details, who its users are, how many assessment licences it has bought and used, and a log of assessments sent. Those are business records rather than information about you.
Where data lives
Assessment data is held on Google Cloud infrastructure in the europe-west1 region. Report generation and email delivery run in the same region.
Your rights
Under POPIA and the GDPR you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. For anything relating to this website, email us. For anything relating to an assessment you completed, start with the organisation that invited you.
