Matchie

About

Narrow instruments beat general ones.

A general personality test tells you a little about every decision. We would rather build an instrument that tells you a lot about one.

Approach

Start from the decision, not the framework.

Both Matchie instruments were built backwards from a specific expensive mistake. An investor backing a founder who stops when it gets hard. A yacht manager losing a stewardess halfway through the season. The constructs were chosen because they bear on that outcome, not because they complete a tidy model of personality.

That is also why we will not sell you the yacht instrument for a decision it was not built for. The narrowness is the point.

Position

We would rather be trusted than impressive.

This site does not quote a predictive accuracy percentage, a validation study we have not run, or a norm set we have not built. Each of those would make the pitch stronger and the product less trustworthy. When they exist, they will appear here with the numbers behind them.
